"A complex idea executed with brilliant simplicity." Time Out

BEST PLAY, EVENING STANDARD AWARD (2012)

String theory, parallel universes and Sliding Doors moments set the scene for one of the most exciting new love stories of our generation.

Winner of the 2012 Harold Pinter Award, Nick Payne is among a handful of truly groundbreaking young playwrights in the English-speaking world. In Constellations he has crafted a work that catapults theatre into the future.

Roland knows a lot about honey. Marianne knows a lot about physics. With little in common, the probability of them meeting, let alone getting along, is slim to none. Yet in a single moment the possibilities are infinite, inexplicable and even miraculous.

Witty, fascinating and heartbreaking – this astonishing two-hander has US and UK critics sprinkling superlatives like stardust. Constellations premieres in Australia direct from the West End starring Alison Bell, directed by Leticia Cáceres in her hotly anticipated mainstage debut as MTC Associate Director.

Cast includes: Alison Bell and Leon Ford
Director: Leticia Cáceres
Set and Costume Designer: Marg Horwell
Composer: The Sweats
Lighting Designer: Rachel Burke
