The Channel is the flagship creative learning hub at Arts Centre Melbourne. The venue features two digital learning labs, a 70-seat performance space and a vocal recording studio.

Designed for performing artists, musicians, theatre practitioners, podcasters, comedians, magicians and producers, The Channel hosts a variety of programs suited for emerging, mid-career and established artists.

No. The Channel is not available for public hire. All events held in The Channel are programmed by the Creative Learning team at Arts Centre Melbourne. For more information about hiring space at Arts Centre Melbourne, visit our Hire Our Spaces webpage.

Every event in The Channel has a learning, participatory or development outcome. Our three major programs are PLAY, Academy and the Schools Engagement Workshop program.
