Public Transport Victoria (PTV) and Yarra Trams will be undertaking a major tram network renewal outside Arts Centre Melbourne from Sunday 27 June to Monday 12 July 2021.
To keep the tram network running smoothly, critical maintenance and upgrade works will be carried out on the tram network on St Kilda Road between Flinders Street and Southbank Boulevard.
There will be temporary disruptions to public transport and roads while these works take place, so be sure to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
The Sunday Market will not operate on Sunday 27 June, Sunday 4 July and Sunday 11 July due to the works. Outdoor café Protagonist will remain open.

2.30am Sunday 27 June to 5am Monday 12 July 2021.
Along St Kilda Road between Flinders Street and Southbank Boulevard, and Southbank Boulevard between St Kilda Road and Sturt Street.
There will be 24-hour works, including tram track and tram stop upgrades. This will involve high level noise, temporary road closures and street parking removal.
Noise-reducing hoarding and safety fencing will be erected along the curbs with footpaths remaining open.
Early works will occur on the southbound kerbside lane between the Princes Bridge and Linlithgow Ave from Wednesday 23 June to Sunday 27 June. Road and transport will not be impacted, however this inner lane will be closed.
Footpaths will remain open to allow pedestrian access to the precinct and our venue. Road crossing points will be indicated – please refer to signage to navigate around the area.
Accessing our venue may take longer than usual so plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
Our theatre buildings will be open 60 minutes prior to show start times.

The St Kilda Road taxi/ride share point outside Arts Centre Melbourne will not be accessible.
Accessible taxi services will be available at Tram Stop 17 Grant St/Police Memorial: 7am-8pm on weekdays and 8am-8pm on weekends.
The Arts Centre Melbourne carpark entry and exit points will be via Sturt Street during this period.

The Arts Centre Melbourne carpark will remain open during this period. Access (entry and exit) is via Sturt Street during this time.

Shows will proceed as planned. Ticket holders will be contacted directly if there are any changes to their booked performances.
The Sunday Market will not operate on Sunday 27 June, Sunday 4 July and Sunday 11 July. It will reopen on Sunday 18 July.
Entry to theatre venues is limited to valid ticketholders only, with the venue doors opening 60 minutes before the show. We encourage you to arrive early as QR code check-in and ticket scanning is required for all guests on arrival.
