Begin your evening with a pre-show dinner at The Barre, located in the Theatres Building beneath our iconic spire. Enjoy a seasonal menu and expertly matched drinks in a stylish yet relaxed setting. The Barre also stays open late, making it the perfect spot for a post-show drink or late-night bite.

At Hamer Hall, explore our partner venues with stunning views of the Yarra River and city skyline. Experience modern Japanese cuisine at Saké, or indulge in Mediterranean flavours at Teatro.

Quick and casual

If you're after something more relaxed, grab a coffee and quick bite at our outdoor café Protagonist, located just outside the Theatres Building, or head to Allegro on Level 5. Both offer a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with light fare like sandwiches, wraps, and salads.

Foyer Bars

For added convenience, foyer bars are located on each level of the Theatres Building and Hamer Hall. They’re the ideal place to enjoy a drink or snack before the show or during intermission.

Maker's Mark pop-up bar x RISING

Settle in with a warming bourbon and cosy blanket at our Maker’s Mark pop-up bar, specially created for the RISING festival. Choose from three signature cocktails – the Maker’s Mark Sour Highball, Gold Rush, or Maker’s & Ginger – each crafted to showcase the smooth character of this iconic bourbon.

To complement the bold flavours, indulge in Koko Black’s Dark Zesty Orange & Almond chocolate, available exclusively at the bar. Not a bourbon drinker? A curated selection of Italian Plastic wines is also on offer for wine lovers.
